Meditation

 

To meditate is to defocus from the minuscule and focus on the grand scheme. It’s an art of detaching from everything that constantly shifts and entering into the nothingness, into the situated being.

 

Practicing constant meditation removes the meshes in mind that keep tangling up by daily cause effect reactive situations. I think there is difference in the way people perceive meditation. Yes its a process to dive into your inner voice but it need not be just sitting in silence and trying your hardest not to think about your to-do list; it’s more of a re-centering to ‘the now’.

 

Anything and everything that brings you to be present of your presence wholly is meditation. It can be reading a book, looping your favorite song, time traveling with your beloved, cleaning your table or just working on your startup idea.

 

The more you meditate , the more you find your art

 

Walks

 

It’s often said that I ‘think better when I am on my feet,’ and I stand by that statement. Long walks, short walks, 5-minute walks, even 10 steps can give you the clarity you need. Both perspective and perception are outcomes of walking, as I have experienced. 

 

If you want to concentrate on stillness, set yourself in motion; that’s the key element for generating cascading ideas. Each walk will enhance your intuitive interpretation. This often comes when you are settling the senses within even when your mind is moving and that may lead you to the out-of-the-box idea you’ve been searching for.

 

A journey to unknown lane leads to an awaited destination

 

Water Realm

 

Water just as powerful of a life giving force it is , it has immense energy of calmness and can ground you like nothing else. Philosophers through centuries have strived to be like water and have propagated its treasured value in all their life works .

 

Calm, nourishing, and tranquil as the great ocean; untamed, unbothered, and most powerful in its motion. The more you consume it, drench yourself in it, and spend time with it, the more you will learn about life. This leads you into a zone where art is born, imbued with elements of vitality and purity.

 

Be Water, Flow till eternity

Silence

 

Practice silence—not just the silence of speech, but of all senses that consume and communicate with this world. Slowly reduce what you see through your eyes, limit the noises around, control the urge to smell and touch everything, speak in minimal and in low tones and silence the great restless mind.

 

And then you will see how crystal clear your thoughts become, how they no longer appear dusty and chaotic.

That is where you will discover your most wondrous ideas, your epiphanies, and the Midas touch for your art. Start perceiving through the mind within rather than the senses without.

 

Silence above all words, Love above everything else

Write

Be it that you are a writer or not so into journaling person, putting it all on paper can help you solve the biggest problems in moments. That’s because once you write it, you confine it in a boundary and when something is in the limited scope you are in total control of it.

Whether it’s life matters, business ideas, daily to-dos, or even your finances, make sure you write them down. sort them as small handleable bits and see how a simple note can do wonders for you.

 

Take 5 minutes to write down anything and everything that’s troubling you, and remove it from the mental loop that seems endless when it’s in your mind. By nature, I’m a diary person, and I have always found apt solutions after writing things down. I contemplate the raw piece and then systematize it into a polished plan of action.

Declutter

 

Have you ever wondered why putting those disheveled clothes back in the closet feels like a major achievement?

It’s because the more free, clean and clear your space is the more productive you become. It’s related to the vibe of the space. Just as restless, turbulent energy can make its surroundings uneasy, a roomy and bright space can contribute to lively, confident, and spirited energy, catalyzing growth. 

 

Even a small cleaning task can add value when you’re trying to think things through. Try making your space more colorful and spacious, and observe how it subtly enhances your mood. Less is more, and it’s true to every letter. 

 

And art is a synonym for all of the above

 

 

 

Nature

 

Nature is both your teacher and your friend, whether you realize this relationship or not. Being in nature has a tremendous effect on your mental and physical healing. And I specify ‘healing’ over ‘health’ because nature not only makes you healthy but also heals you from within.

 

The softness, nourishing aura, purity and the element of life that it embraces you with will nurture you with bliss. Lie down on the earth and indulge in the fragrance of fresh balsam. Or simply gaze at the blue sky, focusing on nothing but the bluest of clouds. Or just welcome the morning sun and the evening moon with your eyes closed. Within a few days, you’ll experience a shift in your emotional state that can’t be summed up in words. Just as art can’t be fully described—no matter how expressive it is—there’s always a hidden meaning that can be perceived beyond your senses.

 

Talk to nature often

Dream

 

Dreaming is an essential part of being an artist of the inner voice. Everything beyond your sight can be pictured when you sleep. It’s an unfathomed state of imagination and is often more detailed than conscious imaginings. In this state, thoughts come to you naturally, rather than you having to chase them.

 

Always make sure to sleep well, sleep peacefully, and rest in a serene space filled with pure energy. The importance of the time just before sleeping and upon waking has long been recognized. Building on this wisdom, take naps when you feel uninspired. Start with mini happy imaginings, like playing in the rain, enjoying a fragrant winter morning, or listening to the harmony of a piano and violin.

 

Then, drift off into your wonderland. These naps may be brief but they are incredibly rejuvenating. When you wake up, you’ll feel as refreshed as if you’ve just returned from a long-awaited vacation.
